The book Balancing on the Blue , by Keith Foskett is a mixture of practical wisdom, insights and a whole lot of fun.
The book Balancing on the Blue is a retelling of one man's journey to hike the entire length of the Appalachian Trail. The book combines the perfect mix of nature, health and the art of pushing oneself to their limit. This Europeans adventure was a little less bumbling than Bill Bryson's, a Walk in the Woods and a little less self discovery than Cheryl Strayed's Wild. This is just the chronicles of a guy hiking, thinking, pondering and moving through a life that he sometimes doesn't quite understand. This book was well written and has made me put this author's other books on my must read book list.
