Home Life

I live in South Central Pennsylvania with my husband and our menagerie of pets.  We currently have a dog (newfoundland), cat, hermit crabs and a bird (green cheek conure).  The animals keep us busy and are an integral part of our life.   We enjoy exploring and traveling but working full time jobs keep us pretty grounded.  Even as busy as I am, I always find time for reading and writing.

Writing

I have been creating stories in my head for as long as I can remember.  I would lay in bed for hours each night making up stories where I was in the wild west and travelling by wagon train.  I concocted wild tales of heroes, Villains, despair, love and victory in my head.  I started to write in a journal when I was in the third-grade and I discovered the outlet of writing.  I have never looked back!   (Yes, I have a box of journals from dates as early as the 1970's to current day!)  I did my fair share of writing in school and I loved every second of those assignments.  However, it wasn't until I was in college that I discovered the immense pleasure of putting the stories from my vivid imagination down in words.  Over the years I have written quite a bit but find that writing only causes my already over active imagination to go into overdrive.  I have dabbled with a few different genres but found that I truly do love writing romance.  I will continue to dabble in all sorts of genres, depending on what story is in my head begging to be released!

Reading and Reviews

My love of reading began at a very young age. At a very young age, I enjoyed the times that my mother spent reading to me.  However, it wasn't long before I was pouring over books on my own.   Scholastic Book Fairs were the best weeks of school!  I found book reports to be enthralling.   I just wanted to read!  I remember my mother lamenting to a friend about how difficult it was to keep me stocked up with books because I read through them so fast.

My love of books extended into my adult years.  Sure, I had periods where I didn't read for enjoyment quite as much (College years, I'm talking to you).  However, it has been a rare moment to find me with no book in progress.   My appetite for books is voracious and never ending.   In the last few years since I started keeping track of my books, I have averaged about 125 books a year.  Reading is part of who I am.

I have always said that I read anything with words.  And while that is true, I do tend to shy away from science fiction.   Other than that, I am open to fiction and non fiction of any variety of subjects and genres.
